WHEN AND HOW DID WE MEET?
We met in 1990 in my local nightclub on the dance floor! I love dancing so it was fantastic to meet someone who could dance so well too!
Jim had never been to my hometown in Cheshire so it was only by chance we met that night. In fact, he and his friends went to a different night club, but didn't get in as it was full. So it was fate that we met that evening.
The next day he called me at the time he said he would - this has never happened since by the way...
We have been through both good and bad times together and after 11 years we married in Las Vegas in 2001 - he had no choice I wasn’t going to wait any longer!

WORKING TOGETHER IN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
We put an enormous amount of time and effort into every wedding we photograph and approach each one with a lot of care to ensure our couples have a fabulous time as we blend in and become a part of their day. Every wedding is unique and it is like starting a new job every time. We get butterflies before every wedding and can be as anxious as our brides inside, simply because we care so much and want to ensure their day runs very smoothly.
We have been working together every day since early 2006 now and it certainly took some adjusting...
It became apparent early on working and spending so much time together that some things would have to change. At the start we were trying to do everything together!
This just didn’t work. We have a fairly competitive relationship and it became the norm to race each other to answer the e-mail enquiries and bookings! We both really care about our bridal couples giving them the best photos and service we can.
We have learned over time who is best at what to speed up the logistics of the business.

WHAT ROLE DOES KAREN PLAY?
My role is to ensure the smooth running of the business and I look after our enquiries/bookings, diary management, web design, marketing, accounts, post production quality control and photography.

WHAT DOES JIM DO?
Photography and Editing - sounds a bit unbalanced to me...
No seriously though, my LH Jim takes great pride in his work ensuring he captures our brides’ day just the way they have dreamed about. He has a relaxed, calm nature which the brides love as it helps them to really enjoy having their photos taken.

ABOUT JIM
Originally from England Jim now specialises in Wedding and Portrait Photography (UK Trained by a Professional Portrait Photographer). In early 2011 was awarded Licentiate of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (LSWPP). Member of P.O.V..E.K. (Cyprus Federation of Professional Craftsmen). Also a Certified Photographic Consultant (CPC) with photographic technical expertise and printing skills in developing and processing having trained with Fuji, UK.
Karen and I married in Las Vegas so we both understand what it feels like to marry abroad. I have a stepdaughter Sarah who is passionate about film, television and photography. Following her travels around Australia and New Zealand came to join us for 18 months here in Cyprus. But as we thought she got itchy feet again and now travels the world working on cruise ships and comes over to Cyprus when she is on leave.

Originally from England Karen specialises in marketing and photographic production, assistant photographer as some of our larger weddings and has a keen interest I sometimes assist at larger weddings and have developed a keen interest in outdoor environmental/landscape/still life photography. An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with experience in freelance marketing consultancy, professional business networking. conference/event management, training/development and is a qualified hair stylist and beautician.
We have met so many wonderful people through our work here, many of which keep in touch regularly and have also been back to visit us in Paphos.
